converting a carbueratted engine into a mpfi one

hi friends
i am a newcomer to all this megasquirt thing and also to the world of engine and all. i hav a ques .my ques is that i hav a honda gxh50 engine it is caebueratted engine i want to convert it into mpfi engine what should be my first step and also how can megasquirt help me? please friends help me on my project i will be very thankful to u all.....

Your first step should be to read the Megamanual. Even though you might not understand much of it, you'll probably get the jist of things. If it just seems way to in depth and complicated for you, then MS is not for you most likely. MS offers you engine management. It can be configured to control your timing, NOS control, launch control, fuel injection, (obviously), and much more. It is also a fantastic learning tool to better understand engines and how they work.

i am really thankful for your guidance . i have bought a honda gx35 engine it is a carbueratted engine now i want to fit in it the efi system ,which ms should i opt for will ms serve my purpose for better efficiency.

Your efficiency will be determined by your tuning ability and what AFR you decide to run it at. I recommend using Microsquirt for that small of an engine. Microsquirt is a slightly modified version of MS2.

it will be really hard to run a MS from this engine -- what are you going to do for 12V (it is a 4-stroke weed eater style motor). Putting a O2 monitor on it will require even more power.......

Honda GX engines have been squired before - see this link for an example:

The MP part of MPFI might not make sense here, though - hard to do multi-port injection on a single cylinder unless it's an odd setup with two intake ports.

plz can anyone help me out in what changes to make in a honda gx35 engine to mount the injector and then make the efi work??
