Dodge / Mopar TBI, Hall Effect wiring

Post by fury fan »

Need some assistance…

I have an 89-91 Dodge V8 TBI distributor with a Hall Effect sensor. I am trying to determine the wiring pins for it.

I have a schematic for 92-up Magnum engines, which uses a similar-looking sensor (but it has different mounting points on it). The wire colors on that schematic don’t match my connector.

The sensor has no wire markings, and the connector has tan/black, black/blue, and orange wires in it.
Anyone have a schematic that shows power in, ground, and sensor output voltage?
Needs to get the toes out of the water and just jump off the diving board!!!
current EFI project:
65 Chrysler 300L, 413, working on inline dual GM TBI units, will run with MS2. Hoping to have factory-style appearance.

Look carefully at the hall effect. It should have some writing on it. Typically you can Google that and get the sensor's datasheet. Be aware that you might need a magnifying glass as it can be quite small
