IXDI404SI
The fet driver on my 3.57 board is fried and I tried the order a new one here in Europe. My electronic parts supplier ordered this part at Digikey. He got a responce that the part is not produced anymore and they sell the remaining parts only to selected customers. The older MC part is not up to the job if you use pwm with the active flyback circuit due to high voltage spikes generated by this circuit.
My question is:
a. Can someone help me with one item?
b. What will be the effect on production of the megasquirt boards?
c. Is there a drop in replacement?

Gerhard

Re: IXDI404SI
According to the IXYS website, the ixdi404si and pi is out of production.
This means that everyone who is running their boards with pwm injector mode and active flyback, will have a problem if this driver stops working.
It would be nice if the development team will have a look in to this and come up with a solution.

Gerhard
