Hi all,
I read contradictory things about powering EDIS to a switched 12V source:
1 - EDIS ground and power supply should be connected at different places than the ones of Megasquirt;
2 - power supply for EDIS can be connected to the fuel pump relay.
My EDIS will be grounded to another spot of the engine block than Megasquirt. Can I connect the EDIS power supply together with the fuel pump power supply on the relay board or would that be considered as the same source of supply as Megasquirt?
What about getting the power from one of the pins on the JP2 block (powering the injectors) I'm using only two of the pins for the injectors so I have two that I'm not using.

My car had factory fitted EFI - I changed that to MS. The original EFI loom had its own feed from the battery, the ignition system just off the main car loom. As was the fuel pump, but switched by a relay controlled by the EFI.
So I retained the same layout when fitting EDIS - but increased the wire gauge as I reckon it takes more current than a single coil system.
Put it this way - running a separate circuit direct from the battery for EDIS won't do any harm.

In my setup, and for centralizing purposes, I would prefer to get the power for EDIS from the Relay Board (after all it's full name is "Relay and Power Distribution Board") unless this is not adviseable for any reason.
If OK I would like to know where best to get switched power on the Relay Board, and if not adviseable I would like to know why.
