No firmware loaded error? 911 Porsche

Post by TwinTurbo911 »

I am posting here in hopes that I can overcome this error. We are attempting to use the megasquirt to install fuel injection on a 911 Porsche 2.0 flat 6.

Code: Select all

MegaSquirt Download 2.00

Reading C:/Documents and Settings/Local User/Desktop/Monitor_v2.891.abs.s19:
Detected MS-II (HCS12) code.
Entry point: 0x0000
Code range : 0x4000-0x3db420
File read successfully.

Opened comm port 3 at 115200.
ERROR: Unknown error status response, e=0x21
Elapsed time: 0.25 seconds

I initially tried to install the experimental turbo controller but after powering on the unit the Transistor was smoking so we removed it. Now we are using a alternative for the turbo and want to use the megasquirt in fuel only mode. TunerStudio says that the megasquirt has no firmware installed. When turning on the ignition switch the three lights do blink.

Are you sure COM3 is the correct COM port? I've often seen that error message on computers where COM3 is a fake diagnostic port that echoes back everything you send it.
