Fuel Injector issue

Post by tidus21 »

Hey guys I swapped in a 4AGE Silvertop Engine into my 87 MR2. I thought instead of going with the stock ecu that I would go with the MSII 3.57 instead. Everything is pretty much set but we are having issues with the fuel injectors. The MSII is continuously telling the fuel injectors to dump more fuel into the cylinders and is flooding the cylinder and in turn is blowing a fuse within the MSII. Any idea's why this may be happening.

I have read and heard that low impedance injectors which mine may be(I am not 100 percent sure if they are or not) may be the cause of the issues I am having and having the flyback circuit board would fix that issue. However the v3's already have the flyback board circuit assembled within them and it is designed to deal with High and Low impedance injectors so I am stumped on the problem that it is having.

Have you followed the set-up procedure for low impedance injectors in the manual?

I will have to check with my mechanic that is doing the work but I believe so.

The fuse blowing thing suggests the current limiting isn't set up correctly.
