Relay cable

Post by waterbus »

Searched but can't seem to find the answer. When I made up the DB 37 cable originally I did not intend to use a relay board. Now I am and just can't get a handle on pin 24. Originally I soldered the core of the gray wire to pin 24 and the outter shield to pin 2. Now it says not to ground the outter shield to the relay board of pin 2 on DB 37. Is this correct? The gray wire is only grounded at the main board end and not at the relay board end?

Ground the shield at only one end.
