Error during bootload

Post by turbodog »

Hi, and thanks in advance for any help. I am assembling a MS2 V3. Have checked and double checked the power supply per the instructions, all OK. Completed loopback test of the RS232 comm link, all OK.

Using Download 2.00 to load Monitor_v2.905.abs.s19.

I get the following output (verbosity setting increased to 3):
Reading C:/My Documents/Monitor_v2.905.abs.s19:
Detected MS-II (HCS12) code.
Entry point: 0x0000
Code range : 0x4000-0x3db360
File read successfully.

Opened comm port 1 at 115200.
Monitor mode failed.
Erasing main FLASH:
ERROR: Command not recognized, e=0xE1
Elapsed time: 0.54 seconds

I've double checked solder joints, as this was the fix for a prior poster. No luck. Any ideas?

Thanks again.

Problem solved. Switched from an old win98 laptop (direct RS232) to a new laptop (USB converter) and everything worked on 1st try. Sorry to waste bandwidth.
