Prototype Car for College Project

Post by Schillie »

Hello,

We're working on getting a Briggs and Stratton engine with a Honda head with the following specs:
- Overhead Camshaft
- 50cc
- Single Cylinder
- 2 valve
- 4 stroke

working with a V3 main board and a V2 Megasquirt.

I'm a little confused on what sensors the Megasquirt will require in order to run this engine. Would anyone be able to help us with this?

Our goal is to use the Megasquirt to control the ignition timing and the fuel injection to optimize fuel economy.

At a minimum:

- Engine speed
- Coolant or other engine temperature
- Air temperature
- Either TPS or MAP, and possibly both.

See this link for details.
