PWM idle valve not staying in cranking position

Post by gofastant »

I have a 2 wire bosch valve, which comes standard on the mk2 VW. It works fine in closed and open loop mode but the crank-to-run taper time has no effect. After cranking it goes straight to run position. Like immediately, I cannot see any tapering. Even if I set the crank position to have a very large differential from the running position.

What else can I do? Is this a known issue with the 2.886 code?

NM, currently only an issue without closed loop, which I don't plan to use
