RPM test issues

Post by st1g »

My brother and I are putting together a MS II board V3 Tuner studio latest version, as well the latest version of the firmware (installed on the daughter card two days ago.) with matching .INI file for tuner studio.

We are to testing of the O2, Tach, and Barometer. The Barometer is spot on. The gauge for the tack shows the needle going from zero to 8k and back and flashes when its at 8. And just does this over and over again. We briefly changed the setting in Tuner studio to a lamda (from a narrow band) and the tach just sat at 0

We have the board set up for Hall sender with the jumper wires in place, but the other VR option is also soldered to the board.

When reading through the instruction I noted on step 51. sub-step i. that C32 can be removed if you're having tach issues, I removed it hoping this was our issue but the issue persisted.

I'm kinda at a loss, I'm not sure why the tach would jump from zero to 10, I feel like its something simple I'm missing.

Oh, and side note, the O2 test where you note what the o2 sensor is showing, power down, move the pot, and power up works, it changes and can be replicated.

Any help on what to do or test would be very appreciated.

I figured it out. I needed to update the firmware on the Chip.
