Ignition Advance at Idle not changing

Post by ReaperCustoms »

Hey guys, Sorry I do not have the tune file on this computer but I will post it up tomorrow if needed...

Was playing with a MS2 today and at idle the IGN advance was 17' on the dashboard gauge... When I went into the spark map and edited the values the advance did not change (I highlighted a 3x3 of cells around the idle location on the map) I checked advance was set to be taken from the map not fixed... If I did fix it then it did indeed change the the fixed value that I set.

When I revd the engine the advance changed and followed the map but just not at idle... Is there a setting anywhere for something like if its below "xxxx" rpm or "xxx" map value then its a fixed advance? or what else could cause it not to respond to map adjustments.

Depending on the code, there could be some sort of idle advance settings; a log and MSQ will shed more light on what's going on.
