VW VR6 coil pack wiring and VR sensor, 3.57 ms2

Post by TiGui91racing »

Hi all,

I have a question about my coil pack for my 12v VR6 2.8 engine, my stock coil pack work in wasted spark (1-6) (2-5) (3-4) with a 5 pin connector as follow

1- Ground
2- 1/6
3- 3/4
4- 2/5
5- ignition switched

My megasquirt 2 internal wiring is made for an 2.0 8v with a distributor with 1 coil drived by the hall effect sensor

What modification i need to do into my megasquirt to make it work with VR6 coil pack and for my VR sensor to work ??

Thanks a lot
Guillaume

For multiple coil driving, you need Extra Code, which is covered by a different forum. Link to it (MSextra) at the top of this page.

If you wish to stick with B&G code, you'd need to use an external ignition system (like EDIS).
