Anyone running a fixed pressure regulator on an ITB setup?
Are there any advantages/disadvantages over a MAP regulated regulator.

I got caught out recently with the same thing.
Then I read this viewtopic.php?f=31&t=29505.
Cost me 2 sets of plugs and half a tank of fuel before I could figure what was going on.
Try multiplying your tps threshold by 10, clean the plugs, and see if that works.

That's cheap, but now that old faithful is working again I think I stick with it.

It was that new usb adapter I bought.
I loaded a fresh copy of 2.886 etc from my works computer using a straight serial port, reloaded my latest msq, and both boards worked fine on the stim and in the car.
I was even able to repair my old faithful usb adapter (cracked solder joint ...

The problem is real enough because the engine splutters and dies after a few seconds. This happens with both boards so the problem is something common on the software side of things. If I run megalog I see spikes all over the place.

The problem doesn't go away if I revert back to 2.881 nor if I load any of my old msq files.
Strange thing is that it still does it after I reload the boot file but haven't as yet loaded my current msq, eg it does it with the default settings.
And it is the same for both boards whether in the car or ...

Ok, after upgrading from 2.881 to 2.886 I'm now having problems with xtau spiking which is causing the egine to stumble at idle. I've noticed that the dwell kicks about too.
With the MS on and the engine not running, xtau and dwell flash to zero every now and then, while all other inputs appear ...

I ordered 2 new map sensors (one extra for my spare ecu) from a local electronics wholesaler yesterday and they arrived today. At $30 each I thought that wasn't too bad.

I'll hook them up for continuous baro measurement as described in the manual and see how that goes.

Which busa TBs do you have?
Hi or Lo impedance? Flow rate?
MS2 should run them all.

Use GM sensors, they're cheap enough and you don't have to recalibrate your inputs. Mount the MAT in one of the air cleaners.
The Suzi TPS should calibrate fine. I'm using one.
Tee all TB pressures together and run ...

I have 2 alternating and have tried different combinations but found this to be the smoothest at idle. Though I must admit I've never tried 4 squirts.

I found the accumulator to have made things worse. It just added extra capacity, therefore lag, to the system.

Too low for me so I fitted green densos off a Toyota 7MGE

Are you sure they were Denso, or were they keihin? Curious because I'm running the same injectors and I thought there were 240cc/min.
