dwell on the stim

Post by wildwestsydney »

Hi All MSII version 3.0 board. While checking thing out on the stim I noticed that the dwell gage does not vary much with changing inputs. It reads right around 1 plus or minus .3. the dwell setting are max dwell duration 3.1, max spark duration 2.0, acceleration comp .6. I would think from this the gage would read around 3.

I am running 2.889 code

If you go back to 2.888 code, does the issue persist? 2.889 is not a stable release and has a couple bugs.

I have not tried going back a code level. I will. Should the dwell in megatune be around what you set in dwell settings?

thanks

It is around the dwell settings except at very low RPM where it may sometimes increase - this was a trade off to improve accuracy.

I loaded a lower code and it and the dwell gage reads what it should.
