Ignition Advance gauge not matching timing light Fuel Only
I am running fuel only on a Ford Pinto 2.0L, 4cyl and the Ignition Advance gauge does not match the timing light. I have set the base timing in the Trigger Wizard and the car is starting and has now got a stable idle, just the Ignition Advance gauge does not match the timing light.
Microsquirt V3 - V3.83 - TunerStudio v2.6.14
This apears to be the Advance Table as I set it to 10 and it them matches the timing light (see attached msl file) but this does not seem to make any difference to the idle at all. Do I need to worry as I am running Fuel Only and if so what am I missing?
Also can ayone spot any problems or am I good to try drive and let Tuner Studio do it's magic.
Thanks

In a word..... Nope! Because, you are not controlling ignition with your MS renders the ignition table, irrelevant. That is to say, your timing will need to be set independent of MS.Da GMan wrote:Do I need to worry as I am running Fuel Only and if so what am I missing?
A brief look at your log doesn't reveal any thing that would preclude trying VEAL.
Hope that helps just a little.

Thanks, I did not think it would but that gauge kept catching my eye and knowing Murphy personally (from Murphy's Law) I thought it better to check first.
Thanks Again

Remember that the OP is not controlling timing with MS (ie. Fuel Only)plonker wrote:If you have a VR sensor picking up off the crank, try reversing the leads ( i had mine to the book for years ,but it still retarded before advancing ? )
