In this case he is firing the coils with VB921's instead of EDIS, but removing the GM guts would be similar.

with the northstar "mount", one on each of the coils are all internally jumpered together. these will get 12 volts from ignition. you now just have to wire to the other tab to the ground terminals that come from the ford module.
draw a picture of what the underside looks like and draw the plug terminals. Test them for continuity and mark what goes where.
it just takes some thinking but it's really easy to do. however the northstar has a 2 plug connector with larger awg wires coming into it. on mine they were somehow jumpered together. and caused me to blow the fuse i ran to the EDIS module.
