Haltech F7 sensors for MS??

Post by retal052 »

I have a Haltech F7 Thermistor for IAT and CLT sensors. here are the measurements I get in the three temps.

34.70K ohm at 3 deg C
35.97K ohm at 25 deg C
36.50K ohm at 45 deg C

How can I get this sensor to work with MSII? I cant get a straight reading from it. Do I need to change the bias resistor? I have MSII, can I just change the bias resistor value in the program??

They seem like very tight resistance values to work with.

Any info would help lots -Liam

Those sound like a weird set of PTC sensors. The MS is not designed to work with these.

Yeah, that's usually the case. What gets me is these sensors don't appear to match the GM curve at all.

yeh and I bought the kit from DIYAutoTune.com

If I knew i couldnt use my haltech sensors I would have chucked them in on the order too.

Oh well I can use some commodore ones from here in AUS. I got the coolant one working today. It reads great.

Just some feedback for DIYAutoTune.com..............Great, all great, well set out packages goes in well with the instructions set out on the megamanual. Well done guys.

I am now running my megasquirt on my Datsun 1200 coupe 1970 with quad throttlebodies off a YZF-R6 with Ford EDIS ign system and holden/GM sensors.
