good souce for sheilded wire?

Im looking for a good reasonably priced solution to shielded wire. I only need enough to do my vr and saw pip wires. Its one of the last wired i need to run in my harness to be complete.

I use microphone cable. The sort for balanced mics - ie two conductors and screen.

Microphone wire is probably not really suited for underbonnet use - oil and high temp... not good.

Get the proper stuff

Everything is really straight forward to install (in reality) but what will catch you out later is going to be poor connections and poorly chosen components that may fail.

Ive been taking my time and doing it all a little at a time. Im gonna start adding wires to the db37 tonight and Ill go find some shielded wire locally. As for my harness Im keeping everything loomed and bolted down as to not have issues with wires coming apart. Ive reused most of a stock harness. I need to run my grounds through the grommet and my iat and im done with that part of it. I researched this for the last 4 months to the point my roommates knew as much as i did.

Decent mic cable can be silicone sheathed - mainly for flexibility. Most underbonnet cable is plain PVC - which doesn't stand heat well at all.

You'd likely be amazed at the abuse mic cable has to survive at a gig...
