Map Daddy Duel sensor

Post by Bobbyspit »

I built my Megasquirt 3 last year (or was it the year before) Just built the megaview (great kit) and bought the Map Daddy Duel 4 bar sensor (for Barometric Correction) my question, Can I retro fit? Taking my old sensor off and fitting the new one or do I need to make adjustments first?

Last I looked, DIY had a good how-to ... Yup - http://www.DIYAutoTune.com/catalog/mapd ... p-117.html

Depending on what you had in there before, you'll need to update your .msq to the new sensor, but other than that it's pretty plug'n'play ...

Fitted and working fine. Great bit of kit.

Now here is the problem.

I have changed some of the settings using the SIM (MS currently not on a car/vehicle) and all settings have been lost, Currently using megatune 2.25 it states unknown variant and all the dials flash on and off. totally dumbfounded. I do not know where I went wrong.

I tried to load my standard settings which upto about an hour ago worked with no success.

All the gauges inc the new mapdaddy were working fine showing real time readings from my Stim board before I changed a couple of settings. I ensured rpm was set at zero prior to changing anyhing.

Any sugestions greatly recieved.

I would use TunerStudio instead of MegaTune - MegaTune doesn't work with some of the newer code variants, and TunerStudio is a lot easier to set up. If it doesn't get around the problem, let me know.
