True - thank you for pointing that out.

Now if only I can find new plug ends I may be makaing sparks this weekend. My plan was to firing it up as EDIS only to see if it runs then interface MSII with it. Tryign to limit my variable. With the static 10 degree timing I think it should start and idle fine since I am only running about 12 degrees now.

If you want a 'limp home' setting of 12 BTDC, there's no reason why you shouldn't set the trigger wheel to that.

Re: EDIS Wiring Questions

I am hoping this is my last wiring question for the EDIS! I have almost everything wired and mounted and I am looking at the coils for the firing order and plug wires.

I know the firing order is 1 5 4 2 6 3 7 8

I know the coils fire A B C D A B C D etc

I also know to pair the wasted with power stroked for I will have 1-6, 5-3, 4-7, 2-8 on the same coils

I also know which set of coils is A-B and which is C-D based on how they are wired. What I do not know if which of the two coils A-B is actually A so I can get my wires started. The markings are not clear. The wire that goes from pin 8 to the A-B pack goes to the left coil is coil A?

Thanks for all your help!

It runs! It runs! It runs!

I sorted out the coil thanks to that diagram confirming it. Start on the first try! No fuss no spittig! Woo hoo!

Thanks for all your help. Now I am going to finalize the wiring for the MSII then I'll be tuning the ignition.
