If so, a barbed 5/16" fitting will accept a 5/16" fuel hose (make SURE its FI rated!), with a fuel hose clamp (don't use the crappy worm ones you would normally use for heater hoses, etc) This type of setup is used by OEM, so i wouldn't imagine it being a problem. If you wanted to, you could also hacksaw off the barbed part, and put on compression fittings. Some people feel better about using those. They can be found at jegs, summit...etc.
This stuff, for instance, has a burst strength of 900PSI. Most of the stuff you buy at a autoparts store will have something similar. Again, MAKE SURE it's FI hose...if you just ask for fuel hose, they will sell you the carb-rated stuff. You don't want that.
As for holding? I double my clamps when i can. I did a motor swap, and ended up using all fuelhose/clamps, and haven't had any issues since then, while under ~45psi.
