Running and tuning

Ok guys good news, I built my megasquirt Ms2 V3 (map daddy duel map)over two years ago, Last week I spent two full days getting the wiring sorted and on Sunday Brum Brum its alive. Fantastic feeling... However my question is there a library where I can get base settings for the tables? before using ...

Re: MS 2 V3 Stepper valve/Throttle body

Admin

you can delete this thread. Sorted a new Stepper valve for my Throttle body, hooked it up and tested all is well.

The Stepper valves set up is very straight forward.

Re: MS 2 V3 Stepper valve/Throttle body

Ok guys seems I have no answers of any model of vehicle that have an integrated Stepper valve in the throttle body, so I am now looking at sticking with a standard throttle body using a 0 280 140 524 idle control valve. Or a 0 280 140 501 BOSCH UNIT. My question is which circuit would this operate f...

MS 2 V3 Stepper valve/Throttle body

Guys, I am going down the Stepper valve route (4 wire), I have a seized throttle body with a built in Stepper valve (4 wire) however I do not know what the throttle body is off. Can you please give me some suggestions for a single throttle body capable of running a 2.0ltr engine with a built in step...

cheers mate, that will do for me.

Ill leave the map daddy in place.

Thanks again

Re: Duel Map sensors V3 board

really, I have been told that 4 bars is 4 times bigger than I need — and I am effectively reducing the resolution of the sensor by a quarter?

PS Matt, great service mate, the megaview is superb great kit and service.

Duel Map sensors V3 board

I use my car for a lot of European motoring, last year I took part in a club event which took in 10 countries and loads of alpine passes. When I next do this event (next year) the car will be running EFI and not carbs. I obviously like the idea of running duel map sensors so the MS can compensate fo...

Re: Map Daddy Duel sensor

Fitted and working fine. Great bit of kit. Now here is the problem. I have changed some of the settings using the SIM (MS currently not on a car/vehicle) and all settings have been lost, Currently using megatune 2.25 it states unknown variant and all the dials flash on and off. totally dumbfounded. ...

Map Daddy Duel sensor

I built my Megasquirt 3 last year (or was it the year before) Just built the megaview (great kit) and bought the Map Daddy Duel 4 bar sensor (for Barometric Correction) my question, Can I retro fit? Taking my old sensor off and fitting the new one or do I need to make adjustments first?

Re: Innovate LC-1 wide band setup

Thanks for the usefull info Lance cheers.

One quick question, A friend is lending me his unit , he says that once the megasquirt has been set up I don't need, as it is only needed for the initial set up and tuning. Is that correct?

Re: Basic O2 Sensor question?

Thanks for the reply.

Once I have the engine set up on a rolling road, the narrow band sensor would surfice? Or is the wideband a better option?

Also I see some sensors come with a heater element, if this type is used is the heated element on permantly?

Thanks again

Basic O2 Sensor question?

Hello. Can the O2 Sensor be wired direct to the megasquirt ? The wiring diagram says yes, but there are different opinions. I was looking at a 4 wire HEATED NARROWBAND Lambda Sensor. Or a INNOVATE LC-1 WIDEBAND SENSOR lambda ? This comes with wideband controller built in to a sealed cable. It featur...

Re: IAC STEPPER POSITION IN FABRICATED MANIFOLD

Superb, I did not know that the IAC was intergrated to the TB..... and yes the blue part is where the TB will sit. I do not have breakers yard near me. I will have to make a trip and take a look at what is on offer, as you say an intergrated one will save loads of hastle. PS.. I can see the TPS and ...

IAC STEPPER POSITION IN FABRICATED MANIFOLD

Ok Guys, I have built my Stim. and am up to Step 22 on building the mail board. (V3.0 MSII) Things are going well and I am pleased with the quality of the Board and surprised with the quality of my soldering. I will build (fabricate) my own inlet manifold/Plenum for my 1971 Triumph Spitfire. (pic at...

Re: Newby Question Bike Throttle Bodies.

A lot of folks have removed the servo throttles completely; you'll need to block the holes in the side of the housing where the acting rod went. You might look at the Yamaha R6 CV-style TBs (NOT the servo driven TBs; they are quite unusable with MS). The CV slide keeps air flow speed up even with (...

Newby Question Bike Throttle Bodies.

Hello this is my first post, I am in the construction stage of building my PCB V3 board. I have previously built and currently running Megajolt on my 1971 1400cc Triumph Spitfire. I have run 33mm DCOE carbs in the past with good results hence the idea of a 33mm Throttle body. I am looking at a set o...
